Only Socialists have ideas this dumb
This one's for Major Man, who would agree with the title of the piece completely.

Still reeling from Canada's mad cow disease, the last thing Manitoba cattle producers need is another tax to pay. But in his infinite wisdom, Premier Gary Doer has done just that -- announcing earlier this year a $2 tax on every head of cattle sold by producers...

A cow tax? What purpose does this serve? They have taken a floundering industry in Manitoba, created a governmental branch (complete with staff and salaries) and now they are going to tax the producers to pay for it?

WTF?

A dumber idea was our government's "Spirited Energy" electioneering errrr branding campaign. Or maybe it was the way they forced non-union workers to pay union dues for the Floodway. No, maybe the Crocus Labour Fund scandal that depleted the savings of countless working folk while the NDP ignored warning signs galore is the bigger story. Or how about the NDP allowing the Seven Oaks School Division to get into the land development business (at a loss, as with all other socialist undertakings) and then the education minister denying/lying that he knew anything about it.

Gary Doer has A LOT to answer for during the next election and I for one can't wait to cast a ballot...
