MeMe!
In case you don't know what a MeMe is... it's when I talk all about MeMe and then I tag YOU and you talk all about YOU! Scarlet Living tagged me, so here we go:

What were you doing 10 years ago?
Ten years ago I was contemplating a move to Europe to train horses... OR... a career in the Army. I had met with the recruitment officer and was waiting to hear back regarding testing but I was also waiting to hear back about the job in Austria. I figured I'd go with whoever called back. I went to Europe. Which turned out to be a great choice since I met DH while over there.

What were you doing 1 year ago?
Getting ready to travel to Indiana to be with my wonderful long distance boyfriend who is now my wonderful husband.

Five snacks you enjoy:
(I'm pregnant so this may be very, very weird.)
Calamari
Breath Mints by the bucketload
McDonalds French Fries with Salt and Vinegar and Ketchup
Apples with cinnamon on them
Chocolate

Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:
Oh Canada
The Star Spangled Banner
In a Humble Little Cottage
Oh Come All Ye Faithful
Amazing Grace

Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:
Quit my job and write
Buy a big house with a backyard that was close to a good school
Buy a horse
Put on a writer's conference
Give money to my husband to invest

Five bad habits:
Buying books when I shouldn't
Being critical of others
Eavesdropping
Procrastinating my writing
Thinking that I told someone something and forgetting that I only thought about telling them

Five things you like doing:
Reading
Sleeping
Laying on the couch (I'm pregnant and sick, give me a break)
Riding
Flying

Five things you would never wear, buy, or get new again:
Spandex pants in public
Fake nails
Baby clothes
Wedding dress
Pointy Toe Cowboy Boots

Five favorite toys:
My digital SLR
Lap Top
ALL MY BOOKS
brand new babies
iRiver

Double Yippie Yay!
Yesterday I received a card in the mail from one of my longest and bestest friends. She and her husband were witnesses at my wedding a couple of months ago. When I was considering who to ask to stand as witnesses, Teresa was the natural choice. I have known her since we were teens. Since the days of getting your driver's licence and sneaking around with your boyfriend. Teresa and I had been through good and bad times together, but she's always been one of those people that you could just call up and talk to for hours.

Last year she had an ectopic pregnancy, which means that the egg implanted in the fallopian tube.. not the right place for growing babies. After the bumbling hospital kept her waiting aroudn for a couple hours, her tube burst and she required surgery. She lost the fallopian tube. So her chances of getting pregnant were reduced by about 50%.

Well... she's pregnant!

AND!

We are due a day apart!!

We were so excited yesterday that we couldn't even speak on the phone for a few minutes... we just giggled...

Shopping together... doctor's appointments.... utlrasounds...

I can't wait!

Can I stop crying now?
This whole pregnancy hormone induced crying? Yeah. That can stop now. A list of things that have made me cry:

And these were just today.

It's ok to breathe now...
I think we're in the clear... for now. No more spotting and the appearance of two of my *favourite* pregnancy signs: morning sickness and sore boobs!

Yippee.

Please think good thoughts...
I'm having a little bit of cramping... a little bit of tightness in my abdoman. My mind tells me that it's ok... same as the last pregnancy that resulted in my beautiful son. My heart is worried.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled Amazon shopping...
Amazon is pulling the Baikal Films that I blogged about previously. Good work on the part of several concerned people to get this done.

Amazon can have my business back.
